The fourth cohort of the MQE celebrated their successful end of studies

The fourth cohort of the MQE celebrated their successful end of studies during the Munich Graduate School of Economics (MGSE) Annual Opening and Closing Ceremony on Oct. 14, 2022.

During the Ceremony, two MQE students were awarded the following prices:

leonie_bossemeyer.pngMs. Leonie Bossemeyer, MSc was conferred the price for the best master's degree of her cohort 2018 by the Volkswirte Alumni Club. The topic of her master's thesis was: „Machine Learning for Causal Discovery with Applications in Economics ". She currently works as a Machine Learning Engineer for a US-American startup company where she designs statistical and deep-learning methods in the field of Source Code Analysis.

 

 

manuel_pannier.pngMr. Manuel Pannier, MSc was conferred the price for the best master's degree of his cohort 2020 by the Volkswirte Alumni Club. The topic of his master thesis was:"Politically feasible or benefitting the Few? An Analysis of German Political Parties' Tax Reform Proposals since 1987". Manuel Pannier continues his career as a PhD student at the Center for Economic Studies (CES). In the long term he envisages to continue the academic track or work for ministries/international institutions.




We congratulate Leonie and Manuel and wish them the best for their future careers!

In addition, various other students of the MQE cohort of 2019 received prices or scholarships before or during their studies at LMU, among them two Max-Weber Scholarships awarded by the Elitenetzwerk Bayern.
